Sheepwagon Stays

A Flash-back to 1900

Truly get away from it all! Off the grid and private. This sheep wagon has been recently renovated and is extremely comfortable! Nestled in the aspens and adjacent to thousands of acres of National Forest and The Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area. Numerous lakes and trails close by. Right off of Buffalo Pass Road with views of the famous Rabbit Ears. Your only neighbors will be our cattle. A true Western Experience!

The Sheep Wagon is located on our private property adjacent to National Forest. We renovated the wagons Interior last winter and it's so cozy!

Mountain View was built in Salt Lake City Utah in 1900! Loads of character are seen in and on the wagon. We use this wagon during our lambing season, so we can keep a close eye on our sheep. The wagon will be stocked with linens and all kitchen necessities. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided as well as propane.

There is no running water on site, so potable water will be provided in 5 gallon (or smaller) plastic containers. Bring your fishing poles, hiking shoes and mountain bikes! We ask you to pack out what you brought in. Portapotty will be on site. Dogs must not harass livestock or wildlife. Elk, moose and deer frequent the property often.

Walden is the closest town, 30 minutes away. Ranch visits are welcome, just let us know if this interest you. Since the wagon is located on vacant land, there isn't an address for the location. We will have you arrive at the ranch headquarters and then either give you directions to the property or take you there. Wagon is 4 miles from the ranch headquarters. Having a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, etc., Let us know and we can decorate accordingly :)
